Hello! I am a professional composer. I live in Moscow, Russia. I have a classical education. 20 years ago, I graduated in composition from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
I grew up on classical music – Bach, Beethoven, Mahler, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Shnitke… I’m also fond of electronic music. In pop culture, some great influences on me were Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Klaus Schulze. I also consider our contemporary film composers – Ennio Morricone, Gabriel Yared, Harry Gregson-Williams, Dario Marianelli, and many others – to be my teachers.
To date, I have a lot of work in film and television. I was fortunate to work with many good Russian directors who have taught me so much.
The combination of orchestral sound with contemporary musical and technological assets is one of the most important and interesting forms of art for me. In my work I try to focus on the musical quality of my compositions – melody, form, harmony and development.
